In January 2023 an ITV Central News reporter came to the club to record a short segment in a feature about keeping folk dance traditions alive
In November 2021 a small group of NFDG members attended "An Evening of Regency Elegance" at Wentworth Woodhouse near Rotherham.
Malcolm Jowett was the Dancing Master, and the NFDG team of 8 dancers took part in a display of 6 dances in the Marble Saloon alongside the Galliard Dancers from Lancashire.
This was followed by public dancing for the paying guests. It was a fundraising event for the Wentworth Woodhouse Trust who maintain the building.
In August 2020 a limited number of members and friends danced with social distancing at Kelham Hall.
We hosted our first contra in September 2019 with Jake Wood calling and Ben Rowe & Alan Brunier playing. Photographs & video by Josh Catlin.
A waltz to finish the evening
Malcolm was calling with local band Sheepish Grin in October 2018.
We had visiting caller Orly Krasner from the USA in June 2017. Club members turned out plus visitors from some local clubs.
